About Fort Wayne Roof Works

Fort Wayne Roof Works is a family-run roofing company in Fort Wayne. We do leak repairs, storm work and new roofs across Allen County and the towns around it, and we take the photos and write the price ourselves.

Who you'll deal with

Who picks up the phone

One of us. Ask about your roof and you'll get an answer, or a time when someone can come look at it.

Who's up on your roof

Our own family and crew, and you'll know their names before the work starts.

What the inspection costs

Nothing. We inspect the roof, take photos and write a price at no charge, and you owe us nothing if you hire someone else.

Your information

We use it to set up your inspection and your job. We don't sell it or pass it to anyone.

How we price a roof

We don't quote a roof from the driveway. Someone from our family goes up, walks every slope, looks in the attic when we can get to it, and photographs what's wrong. You get those photos with a written price that lists the shingle or metal line, the underlayment, the flashing, a per-sheet price for any rotten decking and the haul-away.

If a $400 repair will fix it, that's the price you get. If the roof is near the end of its life, we'll show you why in the pictures and price both.

Storm claims

After hail or wind, we inspect first so you know whether filing makes sense. The claim stays between you and your insurer, the way Indiana law requires; we give your adjuster our photos and estimate. We never offer to cover a deductible, and in Indiana no roofer legally can.

Where we work

Fort Wayne and the rest of Allen County, plus New Haven, Auburn, Columbia City, Huntington, Decatur, Bluffton, Kendallville, Warsaw and Van Wert, Ohio.

  • On every roof we put on

Big house or small garage, these are the same.

  • Everything on paper

The price, the shingle line, the start date and what happens if we find rotten decking, in a contract you sign.

  • Ice and water shield

At the eaves and in the valleys, where ice dams and heavy rain push water up under shingles.

  • New metal at the edges

New drip edge, pipe boots and step flashing. We don't nail new shingles to old, rusty flashing.

  • Nails picked up

A magnet sweep over the yard, driveway and street at the end of each day.

How a roof job goes with us

Four steps, from your first call to the last nail picked up off the driveway.

  1. Call or send the form

Tell us what you're seeing: a stain on the ceiling, shingles in the yard, or a roof that's just old. We'll set a time to come out.

  2. We get up and look

Shingles, flashing, vents and the deck underfoot. We photograph anything that's wrong, and you see every picture.

  3. One written price

The shingle or metal line, underlayment, flashing, a per-sheet price for bad decking, and haul-away. You sign only if it looks right.

  4. Roof day

We call the day before, cover your flower beds, and get the new roof dried in before we leave each night.
